On May 11, 2007, a large crowd gathered to dedicate the newest home on the property of Ebenezer Christian Children’s Home. This home, called Hope, will house nine additional children at Ebenezer, for a total of 33 children. Hope will be licensed as a level 2 facility, providing a home for children requiring more specialized care due to emotional and behavioral needs. With the living quarters for children and staff on the top level, the home also has a recreation and visitation room in the basement, living room, and separate apartment facility.

In 1994 it began as a vision. We saw hurting children who had been removed from their natural homes for various reasons. Why not join forces and build a home when home is not an option? It began just like this. It is amazing how God put the right people in touch with each other. These people began raising money to purchase the existing home on Byrd Ridge Road and the 200+ acres that will allow us to grow as God leads. Many people began to see the vision. This dream has continued to spread. Through the gracious support of people who share the desire to do a great work in the lives of children, we have expanded beyond the original home and now have three homes, Genesis, Faith and Charity. And a fourth on the way, HOPE. Those who enter our doors are more blessed from the extended hands of His faithful servants. We maintain an atmosphere like a normal loving home. Our children are raised in the nurture and admonition of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
